Informed and reliable sources tell Howey Politics Indiana that State Sen. Jeff Drozda will resign by May 1. A source said he is relocating to take a new job. Calls to Sen. Drozda’s Statehouse office were not returned this morning. Senate Majority Caucus spokesman Scott Minier was also unable to reach Drozda for confirmation, saying he was out of town on a business trip. Drozda, R-Westfield, is a senior policy consultant for United Healthcare. He has served in the Indiana Senate since 2002. A number of GOP sources in the district and at the Statehouse are telling HPI that State Rep. Jim Buck, R-Kokomo, is already lining up support to succeed Drozda. (HPI Photo by Brian A. Howey)
